UPDATE: Thanks for joining us at the Lyons Outdoor Games!

This year’s Outdoor Games were bigger than ever, with close to 2000 people in attendance on Saturday for the Burning Can Beer Fest, the wildly fun dirt jump completion, and Burning Can 5k “Fun Run.” Those fun activities paired with crazy wind storms made for some serious work for our Sunday clean-up volunteers. More than 60 locals, athletes, and campers pitched in to clean up the banks of the river and Bohn Park, the site of most of the festivities, and left the town pretty much spotless. For their efforts, the volunteers were treated to a wonderful meal of breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, homemade muffins and coffee cake, hot coffee and orange juice. A Spice of Life and Leave No Trace have put on this breakfast for 6 years now and it has become a tradition for the early risers.

A Spice of Life Catering + Events is committed to preserving our nation’s natural areas through our partnership with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, the organization that is dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors by all people.
