31 Mar Five Things You Can’t Miss On 303 Day 2019
This Sunday marks the civic-pride-driven unofficial Colorado holiday that is 303 Day (March 3rd, or 03.03). Coloradans far and wide celebrate our great state by rocking gear from their favorite local sports team, toasting with beverages from local breweries and distilleries (not that we ever need an excuse to do that), and generally reveling in all things Colorado. If you’re in the mood to party like a Coloradan this weekend, you’re in luck: so are we! We scouted out the best things for you to do to take advantage of this weekend’s festivities. Here are the highlights:
For the culturally inclined, the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art is offering penny admission on Saturday the 2nd for Colorado residents. The Denver Art Museum’s Free First Saturday also takes place this weekend.
Denver Milk Market is known for its exciting daily specials throughout the themed foodhall-style marketplace of restaurants. But by far our favorite is Sunday’s Bingo Brunch. Add some competition to the best meal of the week with this free to play local gem.
Hungry? And more importantly… thirsty? Illegal Pete’s, longtime 303 Day participants, is offering $3.03 breakfast burritos during brunch this Sunday and $3.03 house margaritas, bloody Marys, and New Belgium drafts all day long. There will be live music and vinyl signings at some of their locations, but the food & drink specials are available at all Colorado Illegal Pete’s locations. Check out more info here and get your fill.
For the most die-hard of Coloradans, Denver tattoo parlor Certified Tattoo Studios is offering $30 Colorado-themed tattoos, so now’s your chance to get that Blucifer shoulder piece you’ve been dreaming of!
Looking to extend your 303 Day after the sun sets? Rock on down to the Oriental Theater for 303 Day At Night, a free concert event featuring local bands, a fundraising drive for Food Bank of the Rockies, and giveaways. RSVP here (a must!) and lace up your dancin’ shoes!
Whatever you do this weekend, we hope you enjoy getting out and taking in all that our great state has to offer. We know we will be! Maybe we’ll see you out & about?
