August FARM TO TABLE DINNER tickets are now on sale!

Our Farm to Table dinner is more than just another meal. It’s an opportunity to savor the simple pleasures in life: vine-ripened, juicy tomatoes and the unbelievable taste of farm-fresh eggs in the beautiful, natural setting of a local farm with friends both old and new. Our past Farm to Table dinners at the Lyons Farmette have been an exercise in the extraordinary, as any of the attendees can attest. Chef de Cuisine Pieter Dijkstra scours the Farmette’s rows of fresh vegetables for the ingredients of the three-course plated meal and finds the best possible local sources for cheese, proteins and breads before imagining a creative, distinctive menu that leaves guests in awe. Hors d’oeuvres are passed as guests explore the farm under twinkling lights within earshot of the softly flowing nearby stream before sitting down to the simply elegant table on the Farmette’s lawn to enjoy dinner and conversation with like-minded community members. The next dinner in the series offers a unique treat: Bryan Welch, Publisher of Mother Earth News and author of Beautiful and Abundant will be in attendance. Welch will discuss his book, Beautiful and Abundant: Building the World We Want, which serves as a practical and optimistic guide to making our current lives more sustainable and demonstrates that it’s possible to do well in business without destroying natural or human resources.

Please join us on August 2nd at 6pm at the Lyons Farmette. Tickets are now on sale but space is limited, so please call Betsy Burton at the Farmette – 303-746-6266 – or email betsyburton@mac.com to reserve your seat at the table.
